Fireproof Movie Event in Iraq

I spoke to Chaplain Mozon today, who called me from his installation in Iraq. He just showed Fireproof to 20 personnel and was very excited. 12 of those personnel went through the Fireproof Your Marriage 6 week study from Outreach, but this was the first time they had seen the movie.
Chaplain Mozon will now move each of them through the next phase, which is them going through the 40 day process found in The Love Dare book.

Movie Date Night at Eielson AFB - Alaska

Just got off the phone with Chaplain Phillip Griffin. He says that their event coordinator is busy planning a "Dinner and Movie Date Night" for Valentine's Day on the base. They are going to make it an especially nice dinner and even provide free childcare! He says they will be subsidizing the event so that even the Jr. Enlisted can attend. The goal is to have 50 couples and so far, they have over 40!

Stay tuned for pictures and feedback from couples!

Eric is headed to Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson this morning. He will have the honor to present a Fireproof Movie Event package to the chaplains there. This event package has been underwritten by Pantano Christian Church in Tucson through the Family Pastor Jeff Parziale, PhD.

We will report back in after the meeting this morning.

Fireproof Showing - When: Feb. 4th Where: Camp Lemonier (Horn of Africa)

Well, wouldn't you know...I just wrote yesterday how I was anxiously awaiting a response from a deployed Chaplain...I opened my inbox this morning to see that Chaplain Dowling at Camp Lemonier received his Fireproof Movie Event Package!

He told me that he intended to show it multiple times but the first will be Feb. 4 and there is already lots of excitement for it! He also expressed that, "Marriage difficulties abound for many because of the amount of time away from home due to deployments."

As we already knew, there is a great need to help our military couples. And I'm certain that the folks at Camp Lemonier will be touched by the message of Fireproof!

Three more Fireproof Movie Event Packages en route to Iraq!

I just shipped three more Fireproof Movie Event Packages yesterday to three different Army camps in Iraq. So far, we've sent about 20 all over the world. For the most part, I've had a delivery confirmation from the Chaplains that are serving stateside, but still waiting to hear from those over in Iraq, Africa and Spain. U.S. Postal Service estimates 6-10 days but the more experience we've had with them, I'm learning that is very much an estimate!

I'm looking forward to following up with the Chaplains after they have held a movie event. Fort Bragg (NC) is planning to show the movie on Valentine's weekend. And the Chaplains at Luke AFB (AZ) will hold an event at the end of February.

In the meantime, requests continue to come in from Chaplains. Please pray for God's provision to be able to meet each and every one.

Today John and I went out to Luke Air Force base here in Phoenix. What a great experience to meet with Chaplian Mike Coggins and Chaplain Larry Kittle. Two great men committed to the couples and marriage of their base.

Both men could speak first hand to the deployment experience and shared with us how we could serve.

We also presented with them a Fireproof Movie Event Package that Chandler Christian Church donoated through us to their base. Both Chaplain really felt the Fireproof movie would be a great asset to their ministry.
